Default Massey Predicted Scores, Round 5 and This Week's Top 25

    Division I State Finals

    Alvarado 35, Chapel Hill 21

    Division II State Semi-Finals

    Argyle 35, Monahans 20

    Coldsprings 26, Wimberley 25

Massey Top 25 for this week:

    1. Alvarado
    2. Argyle
    3. Gilmer
    4. Chapel Hill
    5. Coldspring
    6. Wimberley
    7. Henderson
    8. Celina
    9. Carthage
    10. Seminole
    11. Prosper
    12. La Vega
    13. Snyder
    14. Navasota
    15. Monahans
    16. Lindale
    17. Columbia
    18. Bellville
    19. Gonzales
    20. Van
    21. Shallowater
    22. Sealy
    23. Devine
    24. Lubbock Cooper
    25. Paris

I don't know if there will be any big changes after this weekend unless #15 Monahans were to shock Argyle. I was a bit surprised by the two touchdown margin predicted for Alvaroado over Chapel Hill. That seems like a large margin for number one over number four. Obviously, the computer likes the results Alvarado has been able to achieve all season.

Wish success to all this weekend, travel safe and enjoy.

What will be your thoughts if Alvarado gets lucky and beats Chapel Hill? Because the odds are, Alvarado has had a LOT of luck this season!

The facts are still not an exact science. I wouldn't go into the state championship game thinking "We are a two touchdown better team."
Wish I could be at this one!

Lol WC loses to then #1 (i thought?) chapel hill by 5 points on a td with 8 seconds left and chill somehow is #4 and WC is #17. Makes sense

Look at the Massey state rankings and power ratings. You will find that several teams are very close overall power. That is why a 1 point prediction is really a toss up. A 50.2% probability of a win over the opponent. That is close. That is why I thought the 2 td separation between 1 and 4 was large. Massey has Alvarado ranked #3 in the state in all classes. That is pretty strong. It has Chapel Hill ranked at #20 in the state. These are good football teams in good company. Again, no emotion, no notions of history, just looking at the numbers and returning an unbiased result.
