My money is on Argyle. Didn't C-O lose a lot of big time players?

Smart money is on Argyle. Them and Chapel Hill should be 1,2. Head and shoulders above the rest this year.

I'm with Oldtownag until proven otherwise! Just like I was last year, and the year before that...Gotta knock off the champ
before you go naming the next one...

I understand but I was really asking, out of these two teams, Argyle and Coldspring, wich one is going to be better.

I'll give the slight edge to Argyle.

we lost 3 major players, our 6'7" OT/DE, our MLB and the rb cummings....the only one of those offered a ride at the next level was matt, the OT.....

the junior OLB was the fill in for our MLB when he needed rest, so hes been there thru the run to state last yr....

cummings was tough as nails, but was probably the slowest back we had, his aggressiveness will definitely be missed but wimbo people can tell you about the soph FB we had that ran lights out against them in the 2nd half, once he gets as many reps as cummings got last year he should be the same type of smash mouth accompanying runner to gilbert.....

if barbay changes up and runs some type of I formation with sherman gilbert returning he might end up being the showcase back in the state as far as stats go....my guess is hes gonna continue the split backfield to keep teams from isolating on him......i think, if injury free, gilbert breaks 3,000 yds this yr...

everyday ive passed by the school ive seen our qb out on the field either by himslf or only with other receivers taking reps, i think he knows a big part of the season could be up to him, it being his junior year....i know he feels responsible for the loss to carthage with his two fumbles, similar to the first game against k'ville, and he is working his toushe off....

since our loss to carthage ive seen portion of two argyle games from last year, and while i think we have the edge on offense i REALLY liked what i saw of their defense....dont know how much of that defense is coming back but i always like strong defensive teams during playoff time.....i might pick argyle on the strength of what i saw on their defense but id sure love watching that game...i wouldnt bet the mortgage against us....
