Son, I know that these last few days have been an awful blur of pain, emotion, confusion and questions. I lost my mother in December, and then, my dad in May. But, they were older and, though not easy, they had a long life.

I met your dad, personally, at the LE/Gilmer game. He is the only poster from outside Gilmer I have made the effort to meet and I am better for it. Your sister was right beside him as we visited for the entire halftime. Carl and I texted each other several times since then. Even though I only actually spoke to him for a few minutes, I feel I have lost a friend.

I placed your family on our Sunday School prayer list Sunday, without any idea who we were praying for. God knew though, and many, many people are lifting your family and friends up to our Lord for strength and comfort. We are praying for ourselves as well.

I am so so sorry to hear this news. I really enjoyed LE Dad's posts, and he will be truly missed here. Will be praying for God's peace and comfort for family and friends, especially his children.

I am honestly still stunned to the point I am numb..Le Dad always pm me to talk about our shows and games and we shared stupid East Texas jokes and just had alot of fun on here.

I know we have seen some others go on this board, but IMO this is the one that shocks me the most

I am in tears. I have not read a lot this week. Would log in but get interrupted.
I did post on the orig. notice I think but had no idea it was LE Dad.

LE Dad and I did a lot of PM or text. He was who I vented to when it was not good to put it out on the forum.

To his children: Your Father was a wonderful friend even though we never met. I would love to meet you both and would like it if you contacted me through PM. My prayers are with you. My thoughts will not leave you for a while I'm sure. My number may also be in his phone.

I know your hearts are broken and I do not know anything to say or do to fix it.
But GOD does. Look to Him.

Simply stunned to read this. As many others have said, incredibly sobering.

I am very thankful that you shared an intimate message during this troubled time. Your dad was indeed passionate, but one of the most liked on here. Our prayers are with you here in Wise County.

Please continue to post on here as you feel like it. We would love to have you.

It is so hard losing the ones you love. Especially with such a tradgic ending.
May the Dear Lord hold you and your family in his soft and loving hands.
If he leads you to it, he will lead you through it.
Please accept my condolensences and may peace and comfort be yours in the difficult days ahead.

I am still shocked and saddened by this news. Son, know that he loved you and was passionate about the LE nation especially 3A football.

Your dad was really liked on this board and we would love to have you help us keep up with LE's highschool's accomplishments. Yes, some folks talked a lot of smack on here and your dad learned to dish it back but always in a positive way. With all his posts, it will take you a lot of time to go back and read them all and the responses. I guess since Giddings has never played LE, I've never had to thread joust with your dad but I've had some really good times with him in other threads. The thing about websites like these is, folks from many different backgrounds and cities can come together and enjoy arguing about which team on any given night can beat another and while we may not be personal best friends, we do however get to know each other pretty well. Your dad had invested a bunch of his time to this board and he will be missed greatly.

Prayers and condolences from Giddings Texas. Only God knows everything about this. Every now and then, he reaches down and picks one of his favorite flowers from his garden. Trust in him and give him your faith and only then will you begin to understand this. Remember, eternity is a long, long time.

God Bless you and your sister.

I actually remember making a post wondering if any of our posters who just went away had pasted and we didn't know about it and a year or so late Bullfrog_Dad from Lake Worth I believe it was died but this is this is the only other poster I remember losing. With all due respect to Bullfrog_Dad he wasn't the presence on here that Carl was. He posted about an hour before his death about the game that makes it hard to understand.

If that's not a sign that the NBA needs to retract then I don't know what is.

I remember a conversation you & I had about it and then a few weeks or months went by and bullfrog_dad passed away. This has absolutely floored me.

I meant to post this when I made my original post but was in shock and forgot what all I planned to say.

To LE Dad son.....for you to get on here and let us know about your dad and our dear friend speaks volumes of the kind of young man you are.

For you to think of his "friends" around the state, the majority of who only knew your dad through his posts on a football message forum, just astounds me!!

Please check in from time to time help us keep his memory alive!!

Thoughts, prayers and well wishes from Greenwood.
