I just found out about this. I am in shock. I've met your Dad and sister a couple of times this year, and had some long conversations with him. I considered Carl a friend. I don't know what to say, except that I am truly sorry, and your Dad will be truly missed by me and my daughter. I will certainly say some prayers for your sister and all of y'all. God bless you!

This is one of those things that never make any sense. I will miss his humor and sensibility. He was obviously a great guy, good dad and football fan. This has hit me hard because of a lot of reasons but mainly because of the respect you have shown him by your manner. I have a son that is young but plays even now and I hope that someday he will be able to show that same kind of respect that you have shown. Thank you for letting us in our 3a downlow family know. God will always love and bless you because he keeps his promises. Depend on him now and he will not fail you.

I don't know what to say other than I am truly sorry for the loss of your father. I never met him but felt like I've known him for years from his great post. Keep doing what you do because he couldn't have been prouder of you and your family and remember he will always be there watching over you.
