    Default How About Them Fools!

The great 1965 movie Ship of Fools will be on TCM starting at 10:15 P.M. tonight. It has a great cast with several stories in the movie. It is set in 1933 aboard a ship that leaves Mexico for the new Nazi Germany. This is the when the Nazis have just taken power and they are sailing to Germany not knowing the bad future that is coming. It has a great cast and was directed by the great director Stanley Kramer and this movie was nominated for best picture. Also nominaated for best actress was Simon Signoret as La Condosa who is based on a real person, best actor Oskar Werner as Dr. Schuman and best supporting actor Michael Dunn as Glogan. Also in the great cast is Vivian Leigh (from Gone with the Wind and Streetcar Named Desire0 as Mary Treadwell, Lee Marvin as Tenny an ex baseball player from Texas (many thought Marvin should also have got a nomination for best supporting actor), George Segal as David, Jose Ferrer as Reiber, Jose Grego ( a real life famous dancer) as Pepe, and Henry Calvin as the fat man (Henry was famous for the Walt Disney series Zorro in which he played Sgt. Garcia).

    Enjoy!

Don't be foolish and miss this one. (pun intended)
