The iPod was great because it's actually helped the music industry out some. iTunes sells are still sells.
The iPad on the other hand is terrible. The Kindle was bad enough, but now we have a device that will have a very negative effect on print journalism and book publishing. Once this thing goes down in price and it becomes as wide spread as iPods, print journalism is dead. The paper owners will embrace it as a way to save money and lay off the majority of their employees, keeping only the reporters and some copy editors. Likewise, this seems like it will affect book publishing in the same way. E-books will become the thing of the future and will cut out much of the middleman work of publishing companies.
Alright, I'm done ranting. Sorry.

As much as I love the environment, I love the feel of reading out of an actual book a little bit more.Originally posted by IHStangFan
