Wimberley Texans (v) vs. Sinton Pirates (h)
Friday, 11/24, 7pm
Eschenburg Field, Floresville, TX
Wimberley - Sinton series, 4th meeting all in the playoffs and 4th straight year.
2014 Sinton 56 Wimberley 41
2015 Sinton 29 Wimberley 21
2016 Wimberley 21 Sinton 14
Sinton pretty much healthy at the line except for one he played DT and offensive line. This about as healthy Sinton will be i think, P4S would know more on that and put up a good battle against the Texans.
Texans will even the series.

Wimberley will win, but this is going to look more like the 2014 game. Weeks has been unstoppable, but our defense struggles with tackling.
Notice Weeks had a offer from UTSA, Sinton's #2 is committed to UTSA they might be future teammates.
Raymondville's effort, uh, seems to be lacking.
No idea what the safety is doing on the very first play? Just running next to him till he gets to the end zone?
But the two consecutive sacks at about 2:17 are just embarrassing. Most of them didn't even try to block anyone. Watch the two RBs on the second one. They just stand there and watch.
Love the two Sinton plays at 3:00. They called McGowan for pushing off on the first one, and they ran the same play again and scored again?
Committed to the Texas State Bobcats for baseball. UTSA has made him an offer for football. He has said in the past that he is considering football.
Depending on whether or not my Momma is here for our game, we may make this game.
Need more cowbell! :D
UTSA is an up and coming program. I'd pay to go see him play there! Go Texans!
Last year area round game, defensive battle was 7-7 going to 4th qtr

We are still without 2 starting lineman. We were never going to get one back (fractured fibula), but I thought we might get the other back (knee). The line did well in spots against Raymondville, but Wimberley is a different animal. They will have to dig deep on the short week and we'll have to hope they don't eat too much Thursday lol. Really wish we had Tristan
LHPM - would love to see you - hope you can make it!
Hahaha I think he fits better with the cowboys myself... he doesnt need to worry himself with the big 12 or any other college conference for that matter... Hell he should just go straight to the NFL. shouldnt even worry about graduating HS just leave during christmass break... maybe he can even run against trump in the next election? Or better yet he could possibly be the astronaut that revamps our NASA programs....
Sorry for going on a rant but basically, the recruiting cycle for power 5 football schools has come and gone. So has the recruiting cycles for other FBS schools, and most FCS kids have their offers at this point too..... so no, no power 5, no big 12...
Truth be known....disappointment.
Clearly u have never seen a D1 power 5 QB sorry Weeks isn’t there but UTSA, TX St. UIW all r his caliber

Hmmmm, well let's see. I've personally "seen" (like sat in the stands) Brees, Gilbert, Manzeil, Brewer, Ehlinger, Case McCoy (Graham/Wimberley playoff) and several others when they played high school ball. Also, one of my sons attended UTSA and we've gone to several of their games. The university has had great success with students along with it's football program, games are worth going to. If you've never been you should. They're played in the Dome and not only are they selling beer and mixed drinks when you walk in but also in the stands via beer vendors. Sound system has woofers you can feel BTW. Like being at the club/bar? Strurm has been a fair qb for them with his duel threat ability. Is he a about to graduate? I think so the kids been there awhile. Weeks certainly would improve any of the schools you mentioned.
Complete denial.
So to answer the question is no u haven’t really watched them or been up close to a D1 QB. It’s a whole different level, the big time arms they have are above and beyond weeks. don’t get me wrong Weeks is decent and congrats on his success thus far. Hell honestly he’s 100 times better than the QB here in Cuero. But fcs schools might be the better shot for PT because he’s not there yet.

What happened on the 27th of October I don’t get it.

I agree. I was very impressed by JoJo. His size, arm strength and accuracy make him a power 5 QB to me. The upper tier teams in the power 5 conferences probably want more mobility. But, QB's with size and an accurate gun like JoJo has aren't exactly growing on trees. We have a player on Navarro that moved in this year from Wimberley. His mom told me at our game last week that JoJo never played football until his freshman year and only played because the freshman team QB was injured. And, I think JoJo was injured his sophomore year. So, he is still learning the game. He's pretty damn good when you compare him to top tier QB's who get full time specialized coaching and are "maxed out" in their ability if you know what I mean. It will be fun to watch and see what happens. Oh, and the mother couldn't stop talking about what a great kid he is. Good luck this week.
Several things. First, I apologize, I didn't realize you were from Cuero and congrats on the well deserved success so far. Every conversation about this years Texas high school football has the Gobblers in it. I really thought you were associated with this team down the road from us...they enjoy getting on here and poking us with a stick lol. Sourhern, Jordan Weeks has improved way more than anyone could have imagined, in fact that entire offense has, his receivers are like on another level. If you've not seen them play this year, you'd be surprised. I believe Wimbo can make it to the regional but that's not for sure, they have some weaknesses and those weaknesses we didn't have in 2011. However, the team continues to improve and the coaching staff has done wonders with the kids, we'll just see how this year plays out. Back to Jordan, he's a very smart young man with excellent athletic potential, he is a D1 power 5 qb, regardless if he plays at that level or not. There's a hudl on him for this year, I invite you to view it.
His accuracy is just off-the-charts.
A big arm is vital in the NFL.
Accuracy is far more important for a college QB in a spread offense.

I watched him against Boerne in person I’m not blindly throwing out a biased opinion. As I stated before he’s way beyond our qb here. I mean in this there’s always new things to learn and develop even on the pro level. That’s why I say he’s good not great. If he does make it great for him just I’ve been around and seen multiple D1 qbs and they r quite a few steps ahead

Not one of his better game performances and certainly not one to form an opinion. It is what it is. Where you at SFinA? We need some good game banter going here!

I'm following QB recruiting pretty closely this year and Weeks could play at a bunch of power 5 FBS schools from what I'm seeing. The world just isn't full of 6-4 high school senior QB's with guns for arms and extremely good accuracy. It just is what it is.
On to game banter. This is one of the best 4A-DII games this week. Sinton looks like they have recovered from enough injuries to make this game competitive but I don't think Sinton can keep up with Wimberley's offense. I'll say Wimberley 35-14.
SFiA is always a lot more positive than I am, but I like to keep it real. We are still thin at both lines. I think if we are healthy, we would be a little more competitive, but still an underdog. As I stated before, they held up against Raymondville, but it’s Raymondville lol. If we had our RB I’d like our chances at being a little more competitive. If you saw film or even reviewed stats vs Raymondville, we had to rely on our passing game. With the loss of our RB and injuries on the line, our running game has left the building! If our line can’t give Colt enough time to find his receivers it will be a long night! Last year, both defenses played really well. Our defense will have to play out of their minds to keep us in this game. I really hope they are up for the challenge!
Weeks has improved each year we’ve faced him. His #s are very impressive! Only 1 INT !?!
See y’all Friday! GO PIRATES
Sinfan75 is the less positive lol!
Sinton passing game hasn't really taken off much this season with the run game being effective early with Canales getting about 13 yds per carry. Hopefully Colt gets time and gets the ball to the wr, last year he got blitz just about every play so see if he can get ball out of there to a open receiver in time :)
Tejas busy week alot of driving at work so only able to peek in. Wed night get more in to it :)
Remember we were without Andrew for the first 2-3 games of the season, and even when he came back Tristan was on such a tear, that the passing game still wasn't much of a factor. This season has been so weird with all the injuries. I don't know if we ever even got ONE game with everyone healthy lol. I've been watching this group play together since they were in 7th grade and overall they had the talent to make this a special season (still do, I guess) but it's like they had some bad mojo starting with Andrew breaking his wrist. Still, 8-2 is not a bad season...just those 2 losses were horrendous LMAO
