Belton to promote Sam Skidmore as AD-head football coach

(BELTON) Belton ISD has promoted from within to fill the post of athletic director.

Belton ISD Superintendent Susan Kincannon this week confirmed that Belton High head football coach Sam Skidmore has been recommended as the district`s athletic director. The School Board is expected to consider that recommendation on Monday. In 2 years at the helm of the Tigers, Skidmore has pushed the Tigers to a 13-9 record and made the playoffs both times. If approved, he is expected to assume full-time AD duties after football season, at which time he would search for his replacement as head football coach and for a coach for the new Lake Belton High.
