Pound for pound, or should I say, fan for fan, there's not a hotter rivalry in the state, than Sweetwater vs Snyder.
Id say Wharton vs. Cuero...
SWEETWATER and SNYDER!!!!!!!
only 30 miles apart, both dropped from 4a at the same time i believe, were big district rivals in 4A, and still are in 3A, have faced each other like 70+ times in football...without a doubt the biggest rivalry in the state along w/ Midland Lee vs. Odessa Permian and Abilene High vs. Cooper
Sweetwater and Abilene High used to be a good rivalry back in the day...along w/ Sweetwater and Denison (in the 90's)
BUT!!! NONE will EVER compare to the Sweetwater vs. Snyder rivalry!!!!!!
Snyder Tigers...Black hearts and yellow bellies:D
:D :D     :clap:Quote:

I don't think I'd consider this a rivalvry. They only played twice in the 90's and neither game was very close.Quote:

true, it does not qualify as a true rivalry, but i think sweetwater hated denison enough to make it at least a playoff rivalry...maybe??:rolleyes:Quote:

A playoff rivalry?
Okay, now you're just reaching to make Sweetwater sound like it's rivals with everyone.
i have to disagree about that the best rival wharton got is el campo that is a good gameQuote:

i would go jasper west orange stark, i would love to watch that game
I don't think too many people liked Stephenville during their run in the 90's. Denison did manage to go 3-1 against S'ville and knocked them out of the playoffs 3 years in a row but was never able to beat La Marque to get a ring!Quote:
