Wow. That's actually a little shocking to me. I mean, I figure it'll be close for almost the entire game. But I'm surprised they don't have Carthage favored. Maybe they should play this game after all.
There's been many times Buckeye Stadium (now Jeff Traylor) has been filled beyond capacity. Lots of matchups over the years where it was standing room only, i.e. games against Tatum, Daingerfield, Gladewater, etc. I do think this will be the biggest crowd since the stadium revamp that increased capacity to 7,150 according to Texas Bob.
I am shocked that this is a PK game. I would think that Carthage would be at least a 6-point favorite.
I do think we'll play the game anyway... :D This game will definitely say a lot about where each team is at in their quest for the ultimate prize. It won't make or break either team, but it is an interesting matchup, and a good barometer. Both teams are very good, well coached, and have a lot of tradition. It's a big test on a big stage, and any potential weakness will be exploited by the opposing coaches. The coaches are just that good.
I have seats for half the Downlow evidently:D
If'n I had a bed over that way I'd drag a real bass boat (BassCat) and fish Sunday after the game.:taunt:
I'll be in the house for this one...
Hey Buckeyes and Dawgs ... where can I listen to this game on my phone on Saturday? I'll be at home with just my two boys, and they both - for some reason or another - love to listen to games of any kind on the 'radio.' So this game will be our Saturday night, pre-bedtime routine.
Or, better yet, anyone know if NFHS Network or any other entity might do a live broadcast/webcast of this game? Seems of a large enough magnitude to do so, and with it being on a Saturday, they would be able to do it live.
KYKX 105.7 will do the broadcast.
The radio station in Carthage does a good job. They are not too homeristic. I believe it's KGAS.
This game is likely to set an attendance record for our stadium. From what I've heard, and this is not confirmed, they are bringing in 2 sets of bleachers for each end zone. The Buckeye band will be in one of them.
What's the word, Aesculus gilmus?
