Texas' Quintanilla hits 2rbi triple, Texas up 7-3 with two outs, runner on third.
Next Texas batter grounds out to end the inning, going to bottom of the ninth, with Lamar needing to get at least four runs off Street. Street is supposedly Texas' best closer.
Lamar's Stanton leads off with single. Next batter up grounds back to Street, Texas turns double play. Next batter doubles. Last batter flys out foul left. Texas wins 7-3. lamar plays Arkansas at 7:00pm. Who ever wins that one will have to beat Texas TWICE tomorrow to advance. Way to go Longhorns!!!!!
Sounds like my little Lamar University Cardinals with most of their players being locals from the Golden Triangle; have given the Mighty Tea Sippers all they wanted on the baseball diamond.
Old Cardinal, their game at 7 will be on tsrnsports.com if you want to listen in. wink
All they wanted. A 7-3 Victory. Yup.
Yup it was nip-and -tuck into the 8th inning!
