If fans are allowed to start determining who sets the records for their teams, things will be in chaos real fast. If Larry Johnson puts up enough yards to be the Chiefs all-time rusher, he deserves the record---end of story. I think you all know that good player character is at the top of my list of desirables when it comes to athletes, but in this case the Kansas City record book does not have an asterisk beside the title "All-Time Chief's Rushing Yards" which says "Does not apply if the fans don't like him."
