Liberty Eylau runs a version of 4-2 against spread teams. Although they shift to several different fronts depending on what the opposing team is doing.

I'm sure a 4-3 is good. I've coached the 3-4 for several years, but unless you have animals as down lineman you're screwed (imo). Don't get me wrong...I appreciate the replies. But I need 4-2-5 stuff.

Wow I didn't know anyone still ran a split 4 defense. Haven't seen that since the 70's.:D

The way the spread is being run now, I think everybody needs some 3-3 stack in their arsenal.

If you've got two solid interior linemen with decent size...and at least two quick LB's that are sure tacklers...the 3-4 can have success against any type of offense.

10-1 is all you need to run. You learn how to run it really good and teams will beg for mercy.

Crazy how such an unsound Defense can be ran....Has to be a way to exploit that.
