I have good news as well. I became a Grandmother (GiGi) yesterday. My daughter-in-law gave birth to a 6 lb 9 oz baby boy at 12:22 a.m. He is absolutely perfect and already handsome. Fair skin and dark hair.:)

I am sick and unable to get too close right now, but am taking some strong antibiotics in an effort to get well quickly. I need to be able to hug him and pinch his little cheeks. :D

Domonic Joseph (nice Italian name, but long for a baby). I'm not sure what we are going to call him yet. Guess Mom and Dad get to decide that one.

If I get a vote, Nic (definitely not DJ). Sorry if any of you are a DJ.;)

Congratulations and I'm a GiGi too....that's pretty neat. How did you get named that? My oldest grandson couldn't say grannie so he called me GiGi .....it stuck.

Thanks. I picked GiGi after googling grandmother names, now we just need to see if it sticks once the baby can talk. The thought of being called Granny or Grandma was just not appealing to me.

If the baby says ga ga or goo goo instead, I might have to rethink my strategy. ;) :)

He is PRECIOUS!!!!!!!

My mother is GiGi to my grandkids...(Great Granny).

I am KiKi....my daughter started calling me that when my daughter in law was pregnant....and it stuck!!!
