INGLESIDE — Dave Campbell’s Texas Football named the Ingleside football team the Army Strong Team of the Week for Class 3A Tuesday.
The Mustangs were chosen for this honor because of their teamwork, dedication, discipline, personal courage and integrity, values shared by U.S. Army Soldiers, according to a press release.
"Ingleside knocked off previously unbeaten Sinton, 35-28, on Friday to stay alive in the district title race," said Adam Hochfelder, general manager of Dave Campbell's Texas Football, in a press release. "The Mustangs, who are now tied with Sinton and Mathis for first place with one game remaining, ran up 340 yards of offense while improving to 8-1 on the season and 5-1 in district."
The award will be presented to the team at a time to be determined later by a representative of the U.S. Army.
