View Full Version : Hey P4S and Vra regarding volleyball in Sinton tonight.

I was told that there is a warm up game tonight in Sinton at 6 P.M. between the Sinton Lady Pirates and the Freer Lady Buckaroos. Can anyone confirm?

This puts me in a tough spot. I am a Lady Pirate fan as you know but that is my alma mater they are playing tonight. I don't know what to do. I may stay home. :(

Just do what the Green Bay Packer fans did this weekend. Either cheer or boo.

Freer's best player is Avery Acker who is a sophomore. Her father Jim was a great athlete at Freer and played baseball at UT and in the pros. Her Uncle Bill Acker also was a great athlete at Freer and played football at UT and in the pros.

I agree!! Come out and support the girls from both sides! May they have a good scrimmage for both and may we all stay healthy for the next round of the playoffs!! Go SLP!!!!

both teams thought the game was "home". freer was in their gym, and sinton in theirs. both sitting there waiting on the other team to show up.

I sent p4s a text and she said there was confusion as to where the match
would take place. Freer thought Sinton was going to make the trip there and vice-versa.
It obviously has been cancelled.

Another update. Sinton is going to be in Freer for a match that is to start at 6pm tomorrow.

Well it gets me off the hook. Freer is too far for this old man to drive to tomorrow especially the drive back. :)

I told our head football coach it could have been worse. What if both teams had traveled out of town thinking it was away games. He said he has seen it happen. :)

Even had scouts in Sinton from Fredricksburg. Long trip home last night without any info on Sinton because of cancelation.

I know we had beat them in our tournament. The Ladies must have had an off night. Plus my alma mater is tough at home. Let's hope this fires our girls up for the next game when it counts.

This is true (and unfair LOL), but the girls are good and every now and then they'll get some players to get over the 'poth' hump. I think it'll happen next year.
