If you want "home cooking" - I'd go with the Back Street Cafe on Borden. When you come in on HWY 188, head East. At the Rachal Street light, take a right, then take a left on Borden, Back Street is on the corner.

Good stuff.


If you want BBQ - as you enter town Rudy's BBQ is on the corner of San Pat Ave. It's okay, but if you are coming late, he might be out of food.

There is a new place in town called Rustic Foods. I hear their BBQ is pretty good. Again, just head East and it's on the main street in Sinton, right next to the Valero station, just past the courthouse.

that's where I've eaten in Sinton and it's always been good and plenty of it. I've also heard the Back STreet is good..

chicken fried steak/chicken fried sirloin is great.

make sure you go to the bean bar.

get the fried mushrooms appetizer.

You can't go wrong with the Back Street or the Butter Churn. Either way bring a driver with you, you'll want to take a good nap after eating at either one.

Butterchurn is the best place in that town.

Hands down the best buffet style place in South Texas.

Headed back to San Antonio and ate at Red Robin.
