Goliad is playing much better now than when the season began so they keep its close but Yoakum will win and clinch a playoff berth.

In Goliad & if Goliad wins, they can clinch a playoff berth also. I don't know about them playing any better though. After seeing both teams in action- i think Yoakum is more physical but slower. We'll see what wins out.

My guess- Yoakum by 14

If Goliad wins and Palacios beats Gonzales won't that make it a three way tie for 3rd? Not sure how the positve points works out with Palacios 7 over Goliad and Yoakum 28 or the max over Palacios, I think Goliad would have to do more than just beat Yoakum but win by alot. IMHO Yoakum rolls over Goliad and makes it a mute point but fun to what if.......

Should be a great game with playoffs on the line for both teams. After seeing both teams play Edna, I think Yoakum wins if they can contain #3 from making the big play!

Off the subject: Is Goliad going to drop? 2A?

Think they have a decent shot at it, but from what i heard in the district, Edna is smaller, & Palacios and Yoakum are about the same size as Goliad so I don't know how much their district would change.

If Palacios beats Gonzales and Goliad beats Yoakum, it will be a 3 way tie broken by the point sytem. Only a maximum of points count and it's either 18 or 19 or somewhere in that ballpark. Then it would be a matter of positive points. I think the district chair, which I think is Goliad, could interpret it to mean, you throw out the lowest points and then go head to head. If the tie breaker is points, then Goliad would need to beat Yoakum by the maximum points. ( I could be wrong about all of this, this is just based on what I understood happened last year)

Now having said that, I think Yoakum beats Goliad by 21 and the above doesn't matter.
