make that 292yds. for Jackson...with 4 TD's
pretty good for just little an hour of playing time...
Cuero averaging about 14.5 yds. per play...and we only snapped the ball 33 times in the 1st half...
Arndt was 7-11-1 for 117 yds also...good job

I think that was the LONGEST 1st half and shortest 2nd half of a ballgame I've ever been to! FYI, When Tyler was in kicking off and kicking the XPs- Tanner (regular kicker) was getting re-wrapped. He came back in the game on the next series. The long pass play the Apaches scored on in the 1st quarter was a "trick play" reverse type play - I am sure one the guys will have a name for it. The QB handed off to a guy - that guy tossed it to another guy then that guy passed to the WR who was way down the field. Oh and #12 for the Apaches is a playmaker. Burton is his name I think.
From listening to the postgame show I remember the following - Trent Jackson had 292 yards rushing and 5 TD's in the 1st half, Reed Bitterly scored a TD on a blocked punt. Andrew Thibedeaux had a good night with rushing and receiving and 4 TD's. Also racking up yardage by air and/or ground were AJ Bustos, Ryan Bell, Maison Rickman, and Tanner Hoffman. I might be totally off on those numbers and forgot someone. If so, I am sorry - going by memory. Tyler - well, what can I say - cool, calm and composed as always. I think I remember them saying he was 7 of 11 for 118 yards with 1 int. I think the total yards were 537. So if Tyler had 118 yards and Blake Reeve had 2 passing - that would make 120 yards passing and 417 rushing. almost all of that in the 1st half.
We've got a tough and extremely important game next week against Edna. Winner of this game is the District Champ. Both teams are undefeated in district play. I expect both teams' coaches will pull out all the stops on this one.. What a way to end the regular season.
GO MEAN GREEN..
