Gainesville has had quite a bit of success in the playoffs over the years but was never able to overcome the hump to finally win a state title until 2003. In their history they've played in 12 State Quarterfinals, 8 State Semifinals, 5 State Finals and have 1 State Championship

It really must have sucked being in districts of 10 and 11 teams in 1976 and 1977 respectively with only one playoff qualifier per district. Gainesville won district both years though.

Timely addition by WOS. Because Gainesville closes down Leeper Stadium on Friday. They're supposed to open a new stadium next fall.

State finals to 1-9 in 1 year. Was the 2005 team all Seniors?
