The Liberty Hill Lady Panthers beat Leander Rouse, 3-0, tonight, to finish the season with an 7-1 District 8-3A record.

An hour later, the Lady Panthers found out that Llano (5-3) beat Burnet (6-2) tonight in Burnet, giving Gretchen Peterson's Liberty Hill Lady Panthers the outright District 8-3A Title!

Congrats to Peterson, who wins her first District 8-3A championship in her sixth year as LHHS mentor! Congrats also to team members: seniors Jackie Wattles, Siera Sproul, Lindsey Lowe, Whitni Lueck, Tori Kercheville, Chelsey Leath; junior Shelby Stoss; and sophomores Stephanie Metzger and Catherine Heath.

I'm confused. Big surprise. Why are Wimberley, Canyon Lake & Fred in region IV and not in this district and in Region I?!?!

The region I setup was for football only. The shift came to allow Rouse and Vandergriff (2 new Leander/Austin area schools) to play varsity in everything but football. Have I completely confused you? LOL

Don't worry I think the folks in Columbus are upset about this as well!

I thought I heard our coaches talking about it, but I forgot all about it until I started looking at the brackets.
