anyone else think that USC got ripped off by not being in the national championship. they are ranked #1 and arent playing for the title. i think that it should be USC and LSU, but thats just my opinion, so let me know what yall think.

im not going to cpmplain cause its the system they have in place and as long as they are going to use the system whatever happens and happens...does the system suck? yes in my opinion...but oh well

the ncaa will continue to lose fans until they change the system....they'll wise up sooner or later

Everyone knows that it's all about the money. :rolleyes: I think the controversy is great. It just proves that there needs to be a playoff system. Did anyone watch the selection show yesterday? I noticed that almost all the coaches they talked to said something about a playoff system. It seems like the coaches want playoffs. This will happen year in and year out until there is a playoff system, but like you said it's all about the money.

Personally I believe that if you can't win your Conference, that you shouldn't be able to play for the Championship. I too believe that it should be USC and LSU.

I think they should go to a playoff system. Maybe the top 8 teams in the rankings go to the playoffs. The other teams can still have bowl games to go to, but there are probably many other teams who could possibly win the national championship game. What about having all the conference chamions go to the playoffs and go from there? There are lots of ways to do the playoffs.

Take the top 16 teams, have a playoff, and CALL EACH GAME A BOWL!!! If money is really what they're worried about, then you guys tell me what would sell more tickets and get more ratings...a.k.a. more money:

BCS # 8 Tennessee vs. BCS # 9 Miami (and call it the Motor City Bowl)

or

the two teams that are currently playing in the Motor City Bowl, Northwestern vs. Bowling Green.

I really wish there was a playoff system in place like Div. I-AA. But, as long as major corporations ($$$) are in control of Bowl games and sponsoring them, I don't think we will see a playoff system for Div. I-A. Would be sweet if they did though!! GEAUX OU... Beat the Tigers!
