I noticed that when the new Sinton Pirate Football schedule comes out in the new realignment the big district games( to determine district champs) are near towards the end of the season. In this case its Ingleside rarely they play em in the start of the district race, Do any of you notice that on your schools schedule.:) Like they say Save The Best For Last to get you hyped up for the game all season long:D

Our tough games are in the middle of our district schedule usually.

LOL, there's usually only one or two teams that play the toughest last, the others not so tough play the same amount of games, and some of them are bound to be playing each other.;)

Let's see....

Rudder
Air
Caldwell
Rockdale
Taylor
Cameron
Madisonville

Madisonville was the big build up last year, with Chris Whaley against Dexter Pratt being the recruiting enthusiast's wet dream. This year, it is still on the horizon, because Madisonville is not yet out of the district race. It would take wins at Rudder and at home against Navasota, plus a Rockdale loss to Taylor (probably not going to happen.) Plus, there is never any love lost between the Mustangs and Rattlers. Many people don't realize that it is a battle of two Grimes county teams......

Usually, unless there is a big, traditional rivalry game, numbers are drawn at the 1st district meeting and they are just plugged into a formula (1 plays 6, 2 plays 5, 3 plays 4 in week 5, 1 plays 5, 2 plays 4, 3 plays 6, in week 6 etc, etc, etc). There really isn't a negotiation for game order. Sometimes a "special" game may be established like the Sherman v Denison game. It is always week 10 as they have been in the same district something like 84 out of 92 years. There were a few years when Sherman was 5A and Denison was 4A but they played the last non district game those years.
