In the sport of football, an american favorite especially in Texas, where we eat, drink, sleep football in this great state of ours. Hollywood has it share of putting talented actors on the big screen to experience what a real coach goes through. The hard work, tension, and stress what they go through. So vote for your favorite coach.

Could you picture this if these were really nominees for a Head Coach/AD for a new school opening up in 2010. Denzel Washington would be the top finalist with 19 votes, Billy Bob Thornton 9 and Kyle Chandler 5 right behind him:D By next Monday a new Head Coach/AD would be selected:D keep the race coming to find out by next week

So many great ones to choose ones. Some not listed are as follows:

Pat Conway as Notre Dame football coach Knute Rockne in 1940's Knute Rockne All American. Future President Ronald Reagan starred as the Gipper.

The Spirit of West Point made in 1947 that had Robert Shayne as Army Coach Col. Earl "Red" Blake. This movie had heisman trophy winners Doc Blanchard and Glenn Davis as themselves.

Fred MacMurray in 1949 movie Father Was a Fullback.

Alex Kendrick in 2006's Facing the Giants.

George Murphy in 1938 movie Hold That Coed.

and John Way in 1953's Trouble Along the Way.

And how could we forget Josh Odor as Coach Darrell in The Express?
Also another movie about Texas in the early 1950s which is the 1971 movie The Last Picture Show that had Bill Thurman as Coach Popper.

Billy Bob Thornton as Gary Gaines in Friday Night Lights....the accent was spot on, and he avoided the over-acting trap that many big screen coaches fall into.

I never said any one particular coach, or even all coaches. But you are naive if you think coaches don't push players that are hurt to play and don't look the other way at certain times.

Just tell me which coach u know that forces kids to take steroids to play in a game. If you can name a coach that does this, then u have 1 example. there may be one SINGLE one. but when hollywood comes out with a movie about texas high school football and portrays a coach like that, they imply that most coaches are like that.

Did I ever mention steroids? Come on man. Give it up. And in the movie it isn't steroids, it's pain medication so he can get back out on the field. Atleast know what you're talking about before you open your mouth.

I said above and I'll say it again.. there are coaches who play their players when they know they shouldn't be out there and there are coaches who look away when they need to. I never said there's power hungry coaches out there force feeding steroids down poor Tommy's throat. Jeez.
