Big deal. Its part of getting everyone in the game you can. Look if your good you dont have to continulay carry on the condecending attitude. Others know it and you dont have to tell anyone.
Wow, mental victory? LOL "We made Wylie keep their starters in the whole game!" Whoopty-doo. And you will be sitting at home in the playoffs, too. Congrats.
Come get you some Brownwood next week after your 2 weeks of playing against Air. Please, no cheap shots on Shipley.

I sure would not be on here talking so boldly like this If I were you. I mean, dont you remember saying the same crap last year and then having to eat crow? comical in a way. Snyder wont take any cheap shots. Im sure they just plan on knocking him on his tail every play. chill out buddy. I wont make any predictions. I just think Snyder will come to play and wont just hand you a win like you exptect them to. Good luck tonight.

Well Hell here we go, I hope last night was not an omen of whats to come tonight. Wylie handed us our asses, kissed us on the cheek then kicked us out of the car. It was our freshmen and Jv's first loss. Dang it was cold too. I hope we play 4 Qt's of good ball then it will be close, this game will be BIG for us when we win it!!!Then we'll just have that 1 point loss to that other team the ummm, oh well who ever they were. If anybody can remember that other teams name please post it, and who they play this week, so we can see who beat them. Thanks!!!!

Wish I could be at this one. Taking my girls soccer team to watch TCU's last home soccer game. I'll be getting updates though. Best of luck to both teams!
Could Graham pull the upset? Anything is possible.

Just got back a little while ago (don't ask) but this was the most heartbreaking night I've seen in a while. This group of seniors has never lost a district game through 7th, 8th, 9th and JV and they certainly didn't want this to be the year. Props to Grahams defense for hanging in there and McCoy for his accuracy and quickness avoiding the rush. However...anyone that was there will tell you that the 8...YES EIGHT...turnovers that we committed were the killers in this game and to only lose by 3 is astonishing. We came out strong just like we always do (scored in the first 17 seconds which is new) and everything seemed to be clicking except for the greasy ball.....after that score, every single time we marched down the field we stopped ourselves by giving up the ball...un-freakin-believeable. Our defense played awesome as usual...kept McCoy on the run and off balance for a good part of the game yet he never got rattled and his receivers made some great catches even though they were well covered. We still had a chance to close it out until our QB went down...I have no reason to think the Graham kid wanted to hurt Preston, but the officials that didn't flag a very obvious to everyone in the stadium (not just Wylie fans) HORSECOLLAR shouldn't be allowed to call anything more intense than a powder puff game. Simply horrible...when a kid is running low with his head down and then suddenly jerks back with his legs bent at an awkward angle (and no defenders in front) that is probably a horsecollar don't you think? Anyway, I don't know how bad Matts knee is but it didn't look good. Nothing against our backup QB's, but throwing them into a playoff situation after doing nothing but mop up duty all year (and little or no passing) doesn't bode well. The boys on the field after the game were nearly sick about the whole thing...I've never seen them so shellshocked before. Just goes to show you that what should happen is not always what does. Congrats to Graham on the big victory. Peace out..

These were taken from the local news on the play he got hurt. I hate hearing the excuse about the turnovers, because obviously somebody had to have caused them. They just dont magically happen.

I will add it!!! We played both teams and Wylie just plain spanked us, Graham played very good against us but looked no where near as impressive as Wylie and went home with a loss. No way did I think that Graham would beat Wylie but congrats to them for doing so.
Now what does this all mean? It means I wish we could get another crack at Wylie this year! Not saying we would beat them, just saying the possibilty is there now! Wylie has a few kids out and Brownwoood's 3rd (or 4th if you count Shipley's time back there) QB has found himself a groove
This district is GREAT!!!! good football every week and lots of fans on the downlow!

For some reason that doesn't look like the play where he was hurt...I don't remember him trying to pass. Maybe my memory is fuzzy (it was an emotional game) but I was sure it was a QB draw and he had the ball tucked. Full speed it looked like a horse collar....even some Graham fans after the game said they saw it that way as well. It doesn't really matter though..that 15 yards wouldn't have won the game for us. I apologize for the classless Wylie fans that were yelling when Matt was on the ground...the majority of us were silent though. Like I said earlier..it was an emotional game and some things that happened before the game involving a Graham fan (actually someone working at the game) coming over to our side and stirring up trouble and trying to involve the police (which laughed it off) could have fueled some of our fans behavior. In any case, congrats to Graham for the win...it's time for everyone to shake this one and get prepared for next week.

Probably not a good idea to bump this thread to the top of the forum but..
It has been brought to my attention that I didn't have the whole story (and just one side) of what happened before the game at Graham. Since I wasn't there to see it myself I can't say what really happened...but rest assured that I won't repeat things like that based on heresay again. Lets just say that it was likely a misunderstanding and really not that big of a deal, and I got my info from people who either didn't see it themselves or just saw it the way they wanted to. (there were no cops arresting anyone or anything of the sort, if anyone got that impression) The Graham fans and stadium workers that I came in contact with were all very nice people and I'm afraid we may have given them the wrong impression about Wylie. That is all....(die thread die..there is another Wylie/Graham thread)

What is the extent of the Wylie quarterback's injury? How long will he be out for? How will this affect Wylie in the playoffs can someone else now beat them in Region 1 Division 1?

District 2-3A Stepchild, Graham. Be careful about that. Remember you still have to play the game and anything can happen. Case in point they beat ya'll, ya'll beat us and we beat them. So don't forget the most important thing regardless of what happens we are in and ya'll, Rocket, well that is still up in the air. Good Luck
