Brownwood vs Sweetwater

snider sucks all the time but this week Sweetwater is the suckiest! I expect (and hope for) a lot of trash talking from the red twins (Sweetwater Red and Stang Red).

I say Brownwood by 25 points in a Halloween eve game

I think it is slow because nobody is excited about this game. No offense Doc, but last year in our horrible 3-7 season, we were atleast scoring on people. We just couldnt stop anybody. You boys are in a rough shape right now, yall cant score or stop anybody. It will all change for the Mustangs soon, but not this year.

And everyone talks about Rockets blind faith in Brownwood, you actually said Sweetwaters road to State starts now. Only days after getting manhandled 56-0 or something like that. Wow

I have to admit, it does feel pretty dang good. I havent hated on the wood in a while, but it all comes back so easily and naturally. I had forgotten how much fun it was, and still is.

I saw a team that went 1-19 in 2 years in junior high go to the semi's in high school. It takes 1 Stud in junior high to have a good team and that stud usually ends up playing lineman in high school. LOL :rolleyes:

I was not offended, it is just hard to express a smarta$$ tone on a message board. I was just popping off. Sounds like a good idea. I hate to say it but it could get ugly fast. I am a Mustang fan and this year hasnt been much but i will always be there to support the mustangs. Just so you know My son is on that 8th grade team and i am especially proud of that group because i coached more than half of them since they were about 4 years old. So yes I will brag on them they are some tough hard nose players.

Sweet, I have an 8th grade boy.. He is not actually mine. Actually is my ex-wifes boy by her newest ex-husband. He is like my own, he even lived with me this summer when his mom moved to Austin and his dad was scheduled to come home from Iraq in August. It was a great summer with him. I go to all of his games like he is mine because we both feel like we are family.

Anyways, he busted his collar bone playing tackle football in the rain at the Brownwood/Stephenville game, he did not get to play in a single 8th grade game this year. He is ready for basketball and came over last night to get some practice with me. Hopefully you and I will get a chance to meet this basketball season. It could be a fun 4 or 5 years knowing some of the other players and there familys

It is nice to know some of the people you are playing against. Sorry to hear about his misfortune. My son broke his thumb at the wrist joint in our game against clyde. He is a tough kid he never came out of the game except at half time to show me his hand. He loves the game and loves to play with his friends. They are a tough good group of kids. I am not sure if my son will play basketball think he is going to off season and hit the weights really hard. He is looking to get stronger and better for next year. football is his thing.

Calm down there sport. If your son is on the team, just say so. I'm not bad-mouthing your son or your 8th grade team. I'm sure he's good player and so are the rest of the 8th grade team, but our concern is the varsity team. Next time say your son is on the team and give us a little more info.
