In District 31AAA it was as follows:

Sinton over Falfurrias as reported 3 - 0.
Aransas Pass over Ingleside 3 - 0. AP also won the JV match 2 - 1.
Orange Grove over West Oso 3 - 0.
Mathis over Robstown 3- 1.

The rankings with one game to go are now:

1. Sinton 12 - 1
2. Aransas Pass 11 - 2
3. Ingleside 9 -4
4. Falfurrias 8 - 5
5. Orange Grove 6 - 7
6. West Oso 3 -9
7. Mathis 2 - 11
8. Robstown 0 - 13

Sinton and Aransas Pass play in Aransas Pass for a big showdown. Both have cinched a playoff birth and Sinton has cinched at least a tie for District during the regular season.
Ingleside plays Mathis in Ingleside and will most likely win and take the third spot. A shame about Falfurrias though because they are no doubt one of the best non playoff teams if they don't make it. Orange Grove is good too and played tough and had an influence over district even though they will not be going there. That is what made them dangerous when they played Sinton because they had nothing to lose and the win would make their season. Still I wouldn't trade places with them though.

If Sinton wins they are outright champions and if Aransas Pass wins then they are co-champions and would probably meet hopefully on a neutral site other than Ingleside to determine the representative as district champions. We will see Tuesday night in Aransas Pass where they are always tough at home. Thank goodness Sinton doesn't have to worry about the teenage terminator though. That would have increased the risk.

My alma mater, Freer in 2A, is still perfect in district beating Cotulla 3 - 0.

Falfurrias has been district champs before and hopefully the UIL will do them more justice than to place them in this tough district at the realignment.

Wylie should say thank you :) Bwds win ensures the district championship for Wylie (9-0) even if Graham (7-2) beats Wylie Tuesday night.

Brownwood (6-3) finishes district Tuesday night at Sweetwater (4-5).

Wait til they meet up with 2A White Oak. Don't really know if the two teams would cross paths but White Oak is a machine. Beat 5A and 4A teams consistantly in pre district. They are a Volleyball
power real often.
