The calls have nothing to do with how the game is going at this point. There hasnt been any controversal calls.

Agreed. You kick the extra point and then next time you tie it up easy. By going for 2 and not gettting it, you're evening out the missed extra point by LH.

Turned out to be a great game last night. Congrats to the panthers. They came out and played with emotion and took it to us in the first half. Like I said earlier this week. We HAD to be be able to get off the field on 3rd down and once again we couldnt do that last night defensively. We couldn't tackle fickle either! that guy is slippery. Props to Tyler Lawhorn. He was very good opening up the holes for fickel and then he got his when he broke that long TD run in the 4th quarter. Very solid performance.

I like what i saw from wimberley in the 2nd half. Definitely came out firing. But they looked a little unprepared for this game because it showed in the first half. I just dont understand our inconsistency on offense...... Its the same gig week in week out. That was a bad decision to go for 2 when we scored in the 2nd half. If we would of kicked the XP there then we wouldnt have had to go for 2 to tie the game. With that said, Blakemoore should of RUN THAT BALL IN on the 2pt conversion. There was nobody within 7 yards of him.

Hopefully we will learn from our mistakes moving forward. If I have this correct LH's playoff hopes are in our hands. I think it breaks down like this.

If Wimberley beats Llano and fredericksburg then we are in the playoffs.

I think Burnet will beat Canyon Lake. If that happens then Burnet, Wimberley and Canyon Lake make the playoffs(if wimberley wins out). Even though Canyon Lake and LH would have the same district record at 3-2 CL would go because they own the head to head over LH.

For LH to make the playoffs they have to win out and Wimberley has to lose to either Llano or Fred. If that happens wimberley and LH would be tied at 3-2 in district and LH would get in because of the head to head win last night.

So LH's playoff hopes are in our hands.

On a final note. Congrats Panthers on a hard fought win. Can't wait till next year. Alteast we will have the refs to help us out.;)

If Wimb loses one more and CL goes 3-2 and LH wins then there would be THREE 3-2 teams tied for 2 playoff spots right?
Then it would go to some type of point diff between the three teams. It that is the case them CL would be out.
But, the three team tie breaker is decided by the district before hand so it may be diff.

We had a 3-way tie for second place (2 spots) in this district last year. Assuming it's a "round robin" three-way tie where A beats B, B beats C and C beats A (which would be the case if CL, Wimberley and LH wind up tied for second), the district uses "positive points" in the margin of victory among those teams to break the tie.

Wimberley beat CL by 23, CL beat LH by 7 and LH beat Wimberley by 2, so I believe LH would be the odd man out in this situation.

Most districts have 6 teams but there are 7 in District 8.
