Looks good. Nice work BDR.

Just noticed that you have Sealy at 7th with 308 and La Grange at 8th with 317. Typo maybe?

You nailed it. Thanks for the heads up.

PS: I'm going to post the ballot for next week's top 25 tomorrow and close it Sunday at midnight, so if anyone wants to vote be aware of the change.

Thanks! I've added them in to the Week 8 Scoreboard already

There are some real concentrations of power. 12 of the 25 are located in only 4 districts and 18 of the Top 25 are located in only 7 Districts.

Just curious...why is Kennedale ranked below several 2, 3 and even 4 loss teams? I assume it's because of a soft non-district and weak district..

Good question. Seems like the Wildcats have been rolling everyone. The only team that's played them within three TDs has been Madison.

Silsbee's ranked because of the way they're playing right now. Two of their four losses were to teams that should drop them in the standings (Diboll, 4A Lumberton), two of their losses were by a combined five points to elite teams (#16 Jasper, 2A #6 Newton), and the last two weeks have been equally as impressive, with wins over the two district favorites. They beat #12 West Orange-Stark and a one-loss Bridge City squad.

Celina also has losses against top teams, with defeats at the hands of #11 Prosper, 2A #1 Daingerfield, and TAPPS #1 Trinity Christian. They just haven't looked as impressive in those "elite losses" as Silsbee.

Either way, Kennedale belongs somewhere in the 10-20 range for their current body of work IMO.

I'm not one to complain but just curious how a team that we beat heads up can be in front of us in the polls. Also how we could drop three spots when we beat Rockdale by 3 touchdowns on their field. I know these polls don't mean much but just curious.

Just checked TexasHSfootball and they have Kennedale at #10 just ahead of Prosper. That may be just a little too high though. On the other hand...this isn't the BCS so rankings only really mean something when the playoffs are over.;)

Remember guys, Russ didn't ranked these teams. These rankings are the results of the 3A DOWNLOW members. Look for week 9 rankings and join in on the rankings. What you see from Russ are the results of what the members had to say.

True that. I didn't even think of that. I don't even submit my vote, try to keep it to myself to give me a different perspective to comment from.
