What's up with the lack of whistles being blown in high school football games? Ref's spewing some BS about "the play will stop itself." Bologna! Use your whistle! Coaches teach players to go to the whistle. If no whistles get blown then players continue to block and tackle. Furthermore, if you aren't going to blow a whistle then you damn sure better not throw a late hit flag because that's your fault not the players.
