Snyder is the real deal too! And like I said before, it is hard to beat Graham at their house! It will be a close game between us!

Let me say something about the Brownwood game:

1. It was by far the worst the Steers have played all year.

2. I don't understand why Graham did not try the two field goals inside the 10. Had we tried and made them, Graham wins by a TD. That is a coaching error.

3. Bwood was up 28-14 with 4 minutes left...Graham scores twice and almost tied it. Had the point gone thorough, I really do think Graham wins in OT. Graham outplayed Brownwood in the fourth.

4. I also think that Graham was looking past Bwood.

Graham is a good football team. They can score a lot of points really fast. Case McCoy is good. Is he Colt McCoy? No....but I don't know many HS kids that are...heck Colt as not as good in HS as he is now...makes sense.

As far as Wylie beating Brownwood and they Brownwood beating Graham so Wylie beats Graham...that does not hold water. Think of this...the Texas Rangers owned Anahiem this year, owned the Red Sox this year, but who ended up in the MLB playoffs? Anahiem and Boston. Any given Friday when two ranked teams are playing watch out. Graham knows how big this game is.

i copied the above post off the wylie/graham thread because that game is gonna be good enough it does not deserve to be talking about the Brownwood game....

All I have to say is lots of different things could have happened that would have changed the out come of the game, your reciever droped a ball in the endzone, our defenders had McCoy sacked in the end zone but did not hold on to him. We get that and go up 16-0 with the ball in good field position but we did not and you guys score on that drive and now the score is 14-7... We could do what ifs all day long but you guys sure get on our buts if we make an excuse so quit whining and get ready for Wylie

it was a great game and we won by won point because a great play by a great kid on an extra point... Congrats Lions, now Graham... go kick Wylies butt so we can have a three way tie for district championship!

That part of the post just killed me. That game has been highlighted on the schedule since the Brownwood hiring of Shipley. Nobody even knew Brownwood and Graham were playing last week... This thread is not over 30 pages long, DQ had nothing else to do so they said awww what the heck lets just do the Brownwood/Graham game, there are zero other good games in the whole state this week and we could go eat at Underwoods!... if anybody thinks McCoy looked past Shipley for Wylie or Shipley looked past McCoy for Sweetwater or Snyder well thats just crazy!

When our #12 got hurt, McCoy and Luke Chastian were kneeling together on the far side of the field, The game was played clean with no obvious cheap shots and the best part was at the end of the game when our team lined up in front of the band for the school song, the Graham players and coaches were right there behind them showing respect. I would love to play Graham 10 games a year because I think both teams would end the year 5-5... Great teams, great coaches... just the best football I have seen in a long time

Hey Graham fans, For a # 6 in the state I was a little surprised at your crowd. This was taken as your team was running out on the field before the game so a few more might have trickled. Even though it was a long drive, I was kind of hoping for a close to sell out crowd

I've just got one thing to ask of Brownwood --- Can we borrow Shipley just for Friday night. He comes highly recomended!!!!
