Hondo hands Pearsall their fist loss of the season and remains unbeaten in District 29 play with Devine up next. Devine lost tonight to Bandera to fall to 1-2 in district play.

Hondo needs to beat either bandera or devine to clinch a spot.

I think pearsall and bandera have clinched as long as they win their easy games

It was a great game. Hondo looked sharp on offense and Pearsall looked a little off their game. Questional call in the game too late in the third. Hondo QB dropped back to pass in own endzone and the ball came out and Pearsall picked it up. It was ruled an incomplete pass. My question is why wasn't it intentional grounding if it didn't cross the line of scrimmage?

I honestly can't remember. I know they were coming but I think he was sliding left and it just came out as he pump-faked.

All I know is that Devine-Hondo and Hondo-Bandera are gonna be some good games.

The Owls love to run the QB draw with Quintanilla. The Owls passing game is quite effective and they took advantage of Pearsall's aggressive defense perfectly. They were also effectively able to stop the Pearsall running game, something to the tune of 107 yards on the ground by the Mavs.
