Whatever it's future, I hope it isn't torn down. It's a historic structure not only for Texas, but the nation as well.

I could definitely see it converted into some kind of bar/restaurant complex...I think with all of the events at Reliant Park that makes the most sense in terms of economic impact.

I hope they leave it up. Liberty Eylau won its first title there in 99. It would be ashame to no longer have such a historic place.:(

Hotel, restaraunt, bar, etc. All in one. Enough rooms in the hotel would fill up with home games at the Reliant plus Rodeo, concerts, etc. Plenty of parking. Sweet deal for some entrepreneur.

Casino would be great if the suits and ties would grow brains and have gambling made legal in Texas.

A few years ago they tore down Astroworld for economic need it has been a empty grass field since then.
I would not be surprised if it gets tore down for parking.

I remember going to the Astrodome in 1982 to see the Texas World Music Festival when Journey was headlining. The concerts were known as the Texxas Jam.

Maybe they can use it to make another Bad News Bears movie. Although it would be cool to watch them blow it up. Probably end up as some mega church.

Saw some the Bluebonnet Bowl games there

Texas and Colorado one year

Also saw concerts

Sat in just about every section of the colors

Heard Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard, Lee Greenwood at the rodeos

Had a cafeteria for press in the pressbox with free food, beer and a open bar

All you can eat and drink and snacks

The field area was like a dungeon with lot nooks and crannies- dressing rooms0

I never saw any concerts there other than Rodeo performances, but I saw quite a few football/baseball games...good times and great memories!

we won a state title there..i remember how crazy it was inside the dome as far as paths to the field and such..could easily turn into a spinal tap moment trying to find the field

I watched the Jackets win 2 titles in that place. Lots of good memories there.

I doubt anyone buys it unless it is dirt cheap. It has over 10 million dollars in fire code violations for starters. Those would have to be fixed before it could even be used.

I bet it gets turned into parking.
