The Cowboys have just signed return man Allen Rossum. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Allen_Rossum) That's a great quality return man.

and when Roy returns Crayton will not be starting at receiver either. What are we gonna do?

Good move IMO...he's a decent corner who can provide depth (better than Alan Ball), and he'll improve the Cowboys return game by 100 fold.

Cletis Gordon, we barely knew you. Signed on Tuesday, suiting up and even playing on defense by Sunday, and then cut Tuesday.

Sometimes, that’s the life of an NFL journeyman, and clearly, that’s what Cletis Gordon has become in his four years in the league.

The Cowboys waived Gordon on Tuesday, giving him another less-than-a-week stop at a team. He spent just three days each at Detroit and Houston last month, and also had tryouts for Seattle and Cleveland. Now Gordon did play three full seasons in San Diego, including a year under then-coordinator Wade Phillips in 2006.

The Cowboys now have an open roster spot and expect them to add another cornerback, possibly a veteran, and one with punt-return abilities. Also, the Cowboys could always bringing back running back Chauncey Washington, if he clears waivers. The Cowboys cut him Monday to re-sign Duke Preston.

Good signing. Hes one of the fastest guys in the league. Never could defend anyone or catch a pass, thats why he never made it big as a cornerback.

any source on the Rossum signing? I haven't found the story anywhere.

Rossum has averaged 21 yards per kickoff return but his punt return numbers this year are worst than Craytons.

Crayton averages 8 yards per punt return with a long of 27 yards. (8 returns)

Rossum averages 7 yards per punt return with a long of 14 yards. (12 returns)

I can't help but think this is because of the fumbles. But reality is the Cowboys didn't upgrade the position.

small sample size. David Garrard is averaging 6.68 yards per attempt with 5 TDs and 1 INT, while Tom Brady is averaging only 6.49 yard per attempt with 6 TDs and 2 INT.

So I guess if Jacksonville traded David Garrard for Tom Brady they really wouldn't be upgrading the position.
