Just based on watching Rangers games with the pitch tracker, I'm saying umpires get 3.7% of calls wrong

No replay at all.. I'm old school

No replays at all. Let's keep at least ONE sport pure as it used to be. Baseball should be the one sport we leave untouched, as much as possible. I enjoy football making rule changes, using high tech, etc. Not baseball.

I would say from the countless opportunities to have to make a call, behind the plate you may miss a few close pitches, and on the field, you rarely miss a call maybe a close bang bang but going off of that i would say somewhere from 3-5%

and the only thing i would replay is a homeruns

1. Probably 1%.

2. All of them if they affect the game. Especially the close ones. Maybe allow the managers to have two challenges per game just to be certain no mistakes are made.

I don't like the challenges idea tho. Before every season, we have all of our clinics and meetings and the emphasis is always on getting the call right. If there are close plays, then the 2-6 umpires huddle together and discuss what they saw and come to an agreement on what happened. That alone takes long enough and then if you start giving out chances to challenge a call, then the game will begin to drag on even longer. You play the game and expect the umpires to get the calls right. You can't argue a bang bang play-that is a judgement call. A homerun maybe thats the only one you can ask for help on, on fair and foul ball calls, there is always an ump in position to make that call and ball strike calls should never be argued for the coaches sake

less than 2%

no replay. MLB umpires are by far the most accurate officials in all of professional or college sports.

and yes replay on homeruns, foul/fair and bang bang plays..the whole baseball is pure without replay is bunk IMO..if a bad call can be reversed it should be. The Yankees vs Twins game is a PRIME example of a bad call not only changing the game, but possibly the series.

So then 1 out of every 5 pitches is called wrong and 1 out of every 5 plays in the field is called wrong?

Im sorry but IMO that is drastically high. Even with the worst of umpires I called with last year, that is far from the truth
