Spring Hill defeats Crandall without the services of Junior RB JaMario Thomas. JaMario came into the game with 1872 yards and 31 TD's rushing, 16 receptions for 345 yards and 2 more TD's, and 9 kick-off returns for 238 yards, but was never needed in this one.
JaMario injured an ankle in the previous week's Bi-District tilt against Tatum and did not once step on the field in this one. He was suited up, heavily taped, and ready to go if needed; but never saw action.
Baby brother, Sophomore DeMario Thomas, carried the ball 15 times for 89 yards and did a decent job filling in. DeMario is normally a starting outside linebacker and had only carried the ball in 3 or 4 games prior to this one.
Junior QB Stephen Prince was 14 of 19 through the air for 212 yards and 3 TD's.
Prince now has just under 1700 yards passing this season.
