Cougs all the way. Mexia win was a total fluke for West as we've seen by their play the past two weeks. CS offense and defense are both clicking right now. Cougars with a solid win.

China Spring wins
The only way I see West pulling off the win is if they play mistake free ball. and can contain Bell.
Is the game at west or cs?

The game is at West and no disrespect to West intended, but I think China Spring vs. Glen Rose
will be even better.

China Spring will win. That program knows how to win and have been doing it for some time now. They are definitely under the radar. I know that Mexia beat CS, and West beat Mexia, but here are some quick examples of why that has no bearing:

2008 -
Texas Tech beats Texas
Texas beats Oklahoma
Oklahoma humiliates Tech

2009 -
Navasota beats Bellville
Bellville beats Caldwell
Caldwell humiliates Navasota

That said, this is a borderline rivalry game since these teams are close and always in the same district, and anything could happen. I think CS will air it out often and successfully, and their defense has some scrappy playmakers.

China spring obviously, west is a good team but we beat west by 17 and china spring is about as good as us.

Gotta stay with the Cougars. Hopefully the injury bug will die down though. Two broken ankles, torn tendon in a finger, and an ACL in the last week.

I heard about one of the ankles. That was not even football related. Who had the ACL?

Gonzales on Friday night with ankle. Motta has been told of probable ACL, but MRI is today. Woodruff will not have to have surgery now and should be back by playoff time for some spot duty at least.

I believe the only smack I talked to you guys earlier this year was that Mexia was going to hand you your !ss, and I'll be darned if I wasn't right. There is no point in getting on here and saying anything, because if we somehow pull off the win it will be a "fluke". If you guys beat us all I'll hear is "yeah, we told you so, we own you, you suck". I'll make all the CS fans happy in this thread with my prediction:

Now I even say that is a bit overboard. It is going to be a sloppy field. The last time CS played in West on a sloppy field the T boys won. It is in West and the polka music will be nonstop. The game will be conderably closer than that.

I say the Cougars will win but hazard to say by how much. One more point than West will make me happy.

From reports of last night Jr High games in West the field is thorougly a mess. I think they lost a small West 8th grader in the mud.

congrats to west on the win. west wanted it more, and they were the best football team tonight. china defense didn't take care of business in the 4th with the lead, and west made the clutch 3rd and 4th down plays on their last two drives.

Congrats to West. They were the better team tonight and we almost got out with a W. All I can say is thank God that we do not have to play another game in the freaking mud.
