No other way to say it---Cowboys lose this one and it's "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road". Hope the Cowboys put everything together today and put this one away early.

Go Cowboys!

*(Some applicable lyrics from "Yellow Brick Road" by Elton John):

So goodbye yellow brick road
Where the dogs of society howl
You can't plant me in your penthouse
I'm going back to my plough

Not liking what I'm seeing so far----2 wasted timeouts because somebody didn't know the plays and 1 missed chip-shot FG. Grrrrrrrrrrr!

Keith---I thought you were growing up some.....guess I was wrong. Why don't you quit trying to be less of a board troll and a little more like a bright young man who is seeking a career in sports journalism? I'm disappointed in your Witten 'paralyzed' post---just no call for that anytime, anywhere, I don't care how much you dislike a team.

I am now convinced more than ever you my friend are a truly Philly fan...go boo santa, or how bout you go and root for your eagles..oh wait no one care about them, get over yourself and your hate for the cowboys; where as once it was fun to have you post and banter against cowboy fans, now its just pathetic. The sad part is that you have allowed your dislike for a sports team to reveal a serious flaw in your character. That's a bell you can't unring.

But don't let anything we say deter you.

Dallas 26, Kansas City 20

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Miles Austin scored the winning touchdown in overtime on a 60-yard catch-and-run to cap a huge game in place of the injured Roy Williams, and the Dallas Cowboys escaped with a 26-20 victory Sunday over Kansas City.

Austin had 10 catches for 250 yards as the Cowboys survived numerous mistakes against the winless Chiefs.

Austin also had a tackle-breaking 59-yard touchdown catch to give the Cowboys (3-2) a 20-13 lead with 2:16 left in the fourth quarter. On both plays, he slipped the grasp of cornerback Maurice Leggett and then made safety Mike Brown miss.

The loss dropped the Chiefs (0-5) to 2-28 in their last 30 games, tying the expansion Tampa Bay of the 1970s for one of the worst 30-game droughts in NFL history.

Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo had a rough game today until it counted. He hit Miles Austin for the go-ahead touchdown against the Chiefs at Arrowhead.

By RANDY COVITZ
The Kansas City Star

The Chiefs had a lot to celebrate today, but unfortunately, a victory over the Dallas Cowboys was not part of the festivities.

Playing in throwback uniforms and Dallas Texans helmets as part of the 50th anniversary of the franchise, the Chiefs lost 26-20 in overtime to the Dallas Cowboys at Arrowhead Stadium.

Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo hit Miles Austin for a 60-yard touchdown with 8:22 left in overtime for the winning score. It was Austin’s second big touchdown of the game, following a 59-yard score late in the fourth quarter.

And both plays were the same. Austin caught short passes and shrugged off missed tackles by cornerback Maurice Leggett and ran past safety Mike Brown.

The loss dropped the Chiefs' record to 0-5 and was their 28th defeat in their last 30 games. Dallas improved to 3-2.

Chiefs quarterback Matt Cassel’s 16-yard touchdown pass to Dwayne Bowe with 11 seconds left sent the game into overtime at 20-20 after Ryan Succop’s extra point.

The Cowboys had taken a 20-13 lead with 2:16 left in regulation on the Romo-to-Austin pass for 59 yards.

Austin caught 10 passes for 250 yards, breaking the Cowboys' franchise record of yards in a game of 246 set by Hall of Famer Bob Hayes in 1966 against Washington.

It was Alumni Day at Arrowhead Stadium, and in addition to wearing the throwbacks against the Cowboys, who were in their 1960s throwbacks, the Chiefs celebrated the 40th anniversary of the Super Bowl-winning team, recognized former kicker Nick Lowery’s induction into the Chiefs Hall of Fame; and honored retired running back Priest Holmes’ career.

Too bad none of those players could suit up for the game.

The Chiefs might have had a victory to celebrate, but Succop’s 53-yard field goal attempt with 3:09 left to play was blocked by Dallas nose tackle Jay Ratliff.

The game was tied 13-13 after Dallas running back Tashard Choice broke loose for a 36-yard touchdown run with 1:55 left in the third quarter, and Nick Folk made a 28-yard field goal with 11:10 left in regulation.

The Chiefs had led 10-3 at halftime before Succop gave them a 13-3 lead with his second field goal of the game, from 38 yards, midway through the third quarter.

Taking advantage of two Dallas fumbles in less than a minute, the Chiefs took a 10-0 lead in the second quarter despite producing negligible offensive yardage.

In the final minute of the first quarter, Dallas’ Patrick Crayton fumbled a Dustin Colquitt punt at the Dallas 23, and the Chiefs’ Maurice Leggett recovered.

Though the Chiefs actually went backward 5 yards on offense, Succop gave Kansas City a 3-0 lead with a 47-yard field goal with 14:13 left in the second quarter.

Then, on Dallas’ second offensive play following the kickoff, Romo lost his grip on the ball, fumbled, and safety Mike Brown recovered at the Cowboys’ 16.

Running back Larry Johnson took it to the 1 on runs of 3, 2 and 1 yard sandwiching a 9-yard gain on a swing pass. From there, on third-and-goal, Cassel play-faked to Johnson and tossed a touchdown pass in the corner of the end zone to Mike Vrabel, a linebacker lined up as an extra tight end.

It was the 11th career catch for Vrabel, who made an art form of catching passes in that situation during his career with the New England Patriots, and all for touchdowns. Nine have come in the regular season, two in the postseason.

The Cowboys got on the board with 1:49 left on a 22-yard field goal by Folk. The Cowboys had moved 83 yards from their 13 to the Chiefs’ 4 before two passes by Romo missed the mark, forcing Dallas to settle for the field goal.

The Chiefs were outgained by the Cowboys 202 yards to 107 yards in the first half and 288 yards to 157 through three quarters.

Keith, you're worried about someone copying and pasting a newspaper article when you make wishes for another human being to be paralyzed for life in a thread? Your priorities as well as your values should be called into question---IMO, you stand to lose what little respect and credibility you have left on this board and you should seriously consider making a straight retraction and apology for your Witen post and maybe give those that don't know you well a chance to see you in another light. Fun is fun, and your getting a rise out of people is sometimes entertaining---but you have gone way over the line today, IMO.

There is a big difference in hating a team and wishing someone hurt for life. Wether you mean it or not.
The only reason your a Cowboy hater is because they have won more games and superbowls than your "precious eagles".
So go on and talk your trash because thats all in good fun but don't talk about how you want people hurt. Its just plain WRONG!

And your point is? You dont think you should be held to any standard on a message board?

What if a Life guard at Wet and Wild got on here and hoped someone would drown?

Or a cop said he hoped some got paralized in a car wreck?

No standard applies to you? Evidently not.

Its amazing how someone who hates the Cowboys so much manages to tune in for their games every week and post their reactions to a player being a cry baby. And if your excuse is that there isnt another game going on, thats bull there was another game being televised, and in the event there isn't turn off the TV and quit watching a team you "hate"

I'm not sure that this even was mentioned, but I was at the game and there were about 30-35% of the fans that were Cowboys fans. Look at Dallascowbys.com in the photos of Austin scoring and you can see all the blue and white.

What was so interesting was near the end of the game Dallas D was on the field and started charging up all the Dallas fans and it got loud in that stadium. That was so funny to see a visiting team raising their arms to pump up the crowd. Did anyone see this on TV? When Dallas scored in OT there was a very load roar from the crowd.

I hope that the Cowboys players enjoyed playing at Arrowhead because we sure gave them a lot of support.

I find it kind of funny that Keith7 knows so much about every aspect of the Cowboys team and the Cowboys games. I hate the Eagles and would not watch one of their games if you paid me. Do you think Keith7 might be a closet Cowboy Lover????
