Thanks once again to David Smoak. I got this info directly from his website.

Gilmer senior quarterback Darian Godfrey is on the verge of joining the ranks of the greatest quarterbacks in Texas high school football history. Here is some interesting facts about the Buckeyes' signal caller:

Gilmer is 32-3 with Stump Godfrey as starting quarterback

Gilmer's Stump Godfrey’s 94 career touchdown passes ranks as 4th best all time in Class 3A and is tied for 10th best in all classifications with Chavis McCollister of Tenaha and Matthew Stafford of Highland Park.

He needs 2 touchdown passes to tie Tyrik Rollison of Sulphur Springs for 9th place (source: Joe Lee Smith)

Gilmer's Stump Godfrey’s 7,470 career passing yards ranks as 8th best all time in Class 3A. He needs 409 passing yards to pass Derek Thompson of Glen Rose for 7th place (source: Joe Lee Smith)

Gilmer quarterback Stump Godfrey needs 6 touchdown passes to give him 100 for his career. Only 8 Texas quarterbacks have ever thrown for 100 touchdowns in their career. (Graham Harrell, 167; Garrett Gilbert, 137; G.J. Kinne, 132; Colt McCoy, 116; Drew Tate, 114; Chandler Dane, 104; Riley Dodge, 102; Stephen McGee, 101) (source: Joe Lee Smith)

Gilmer quarterback Stump Godfrey needs 530 passing yards to give him 8,000 for his career

Gilmer quarterback Stump Godfrey needs 122 rushing yards to give him 2,000 for his career

Gilmer quarterback Stump Godfrey needs 652 total yards to give him 10,000 for his career

Stumps loses include

2007 state championship to Liberty Hill as a sophomore
2008 regular season to 4a Kilgore
2008 regionIII final to eventual state champ Carthage

He has already paid back Kilgore in a big way!!! Hopefully he will get a shot at Carthage also.

From what I've gathered, Baylor, Kansas State, Oklahoma, TCU and Tulsa are the top 5. I believe Kansas State and Tulsa are the only 2 to have offered so far.
