I have some questions.
Why is this site down a lot?
Sometimes when I click on the link I get the 404 error page.
It usually doesn't come back up for a few hours.
Does anybody else have this problem?

I get it too, especially at night. And I got it at my in-laws last week, so I don't know.

Has been happening to me for months now. Will get "cannot display the page" type errors. This will last for hours at a time. Sometimes when I come back it works, sometimes it still doesn't. It always works from my work computer. My ISP in Consolidated Communications. Others with this problem with Consolidated by any chance?

Contacted my ISP in the past with no success. They could see this website when I was on the phone with them and I couldn't see it from my home computer. Just kinda gave up and lived with it. It works over 50% of the time, so I just bide my time and wait for it to work again.

I have Consolidated and the same problem. Probably not 50%, but often enough to be irritating.

Well I'm glad to see I'm not the only one.
I visit several different mb's (not just football) and I don't have a problem on those, just this one, so I don't know.

I get on at home, at a&m, at friends houses, and I'm on my phone right now. Never had an issue.

Some internet providers such as some dial up and satellite compaines do come up with that problem sometimes. With DSl or cable its not really an issue. Ive had it some but not that much.

Maybe that's the problem. I use Firefox religiously. May switch over to Chrome.

I have DSL and I can't get to the website about half of the time. Strangely enough, this is the ONLY website I have that problem with. I'm not sure what's the magic combination of this website and my ISP, but don't they play together very well.

Chrome is Google's browser. Not quite as good as Mozilla, but definitely the next-best thing.

And no, I haven't. How do you do that?

I've been on this site off and on since 2002 with out a problem. I do have an issue from time to time with my home's wireless network dropping out, but never a problem with this site.

russ, I have U-Verse too and every now and then at home I get the errors when first loading up the 'low. I just refresh and it's ok. I think it might have to do with UV(u-verse) being VOIP and supporting cable on the same line.

At Sinton, I never get the error on a wireless G-Teck connection.

I use firefox too.

I down loaded Firefox about a month ago and lost my administration panel and then couldn't access it. Couldn't get it to work right. Erased firefox and went back to IE. No problems since.

The site does go offline every night about three or four in the morning because it does an automatic database backup. We've been with the current colo host for a couple years now and have only been down once for about an hour from their end. I have Roadrunner at my house and Comcast in Deer Park and haven't had any problems.

I did have a weird problem with IE last week. I could get to everything EXCEPT my yahoo email. I downloaded the latest IE and it works just fine now. Computers can drive you bonkers sometimes.

I have had the error page show up a few times each week and have found that if I hit the back arrow on the search bar it takes me to the page I was trying to get to. I was told by a Best Buy Geek that it is because of a hiccup in the IE program and the only real way to solve it is to download a newer version of IE.

This is a very interesting thread. My wife and I both have issues loading this site from our house. We have two laptops (Mac and PC) plus our desktop PC, we run the latest IE on the desktop plus Firefox on all three.

We usually have some period once a day where this site is unaccessable. Not sure what is up with that. Never a problem from work or when I travel and access remote.

Has to be an issue with our DSL provider.

Easy fix when that happens.

Go to a c: prompt, type in the following:

ipconfig /flushdns

It will give you a message that the dns has been flushed successfully

type in exit.......go to downlow
