In the 90's, there were two or three different times B'wood-S'ville had over 10,000 standing room only, and in the mid 80's, B'wood and Cleburne filled it up capacity.
Most I ever seen in GW Stadium was a 2003 5A playoff game between San Angelo Central and Arlington Lamar, it was estimated around 12,000 were in attendance, seemed like every fan from San Angelo was there as they had to sit on both sides, and sit in portable seats around the stadium, it was utter chaos as the listed stadium capacity in supposed to be 7,800.

I love AW broadcasts...if given an option, that is the one I will pick!!

I remember back in 2004, I think. My husband and I went to Brownwood to watch Sweetwater and Glen Rose play...after watching a Sweetwater blowout the first half, we left and hauled butt to Abilene to catch the last half of the Snyder/Iowa Park game. We left Shotwell and immediately turned on the radio to catch the last quarter of the Abilene Wylie/Decatur game.

I have NO IDEA who was doing that game, but they were so darn excited, they had me whooping and hollering right along with them!!

Ahhhh....that was a GREAT day of football!!!

I agree! I think our team does a great job! I think this is their 11th season (I could be off on that).

For the record, I have listened to Dallas Huston as well and I think he is a great broadcaster.

The difference is he will be in the Texas Sports Hall of Fame one day. I believe he called all 7 of Brownwood's State Championship seasons. Might be wrong on that.

I will admit that Wylie has a good broadcast team. Most teams have two idiots in the booth (bubba and wilford) talking about the game and don't have a clue. nobogey is a funny guy, but he is borderline bubba.

Snyder vs. Graham tops for Week 6
In a quick transition from a midseason bye week that offered few games to choose from, we move to Week 6, a district-opening week that traditionally offers more emotion than any other time during the regular season. That, of course, means a lot of good games to choose from, which are both high_profi le and competitive.
District 2-3A always offers games in both categories, including Friday’s matchup between Snyder (3-2) and No. 9 Graham (5- 0), which will serve as our Big Coun_try Game of the Week.
Featuring to of the more explosive 3A offenses in the area — Graham aver_aging 37 points per game; Snyder averaging 35 — this matchup also will showcase a pair of the Big Country’s best quarterbacks in Case McCoy and Keenon Ward.
Most followers of area high school football are well aware that Graham’s McCoy (81-of-132-3 1,449 yards, 17 TDs) is the younger brother of Univer_sity of Texas quarterback Colt McCoy and that he will follow his sibling’s footsteps and attend UT.
On the other hand, Ward (59-of-100-3, 942, 14 TDs) hasn’t garnered much atten_tion as a sophomore. With_in two years, however, he is almost certain to be one of the quarterbacks everyone in the area can identify.
Yet for all the talk about offense that this game will inspire, it is on the defen_sive side where the key dif_ference will be shown.
Graham may have al_lowed 48 points last week in a one-point win at Bridgeport, but the Steers were missing three start_ers on that side of the ball who were held out of the game due to disciplinary reasons. On the season, Graham is allowing just 14 points per game, and has limited four of its five op_ponents to 10 points or less. Snyder, by comparison, as been inconsistent at best defensively, allowing more than 40 points in losses to Big Spring and Lubbock Estacado.
This could end up re_sembling a track meet, but Graham will get enough stops to win by two scores.
Pick: Graham by 14

:D
