Any comments on this matchup? I know Burnet is coming off of a huge victory over Liberty Hill. While Llano has some momentum as well coming into the game after beating Taylor and Fredericksburg. Should be a good one this Friday night in Llano.

If Burnet dosen't have any letdown after last week thrashing LH, they win this one. Any letdown and Llano will make it very close at home. I think Burnet is on a roll now and walks on by 14.

You don't think Llano can pull off the upset?

LOL...no, what I mean is...as a coach (I assume) do you know something I dont...or is it all BS?

I really dont have a feel for Llano yet, so you could be correct. If we beat em, llano certainly can too...so you might have a point.

These are all very interesting score predictions. I know Llano will be fired up for this one!!! I think the weather could play a pretty big factor into the game plan of one teams if it rains.

Llano has had a rash of injuries to the db's lately. 4 or 5. This is not the time for this. I would rather be playing L.H. at this time. Hoping for heavy rain come gametime.

Burnet will torch Llano like they did LH.

Chafin can throw a good ball, they have height at the WR position, and some good speed in the backfield. Stopping Llano will be alot like stopping LH this year.. easy.

Burnet by about the same margin as last week.

If this is true (Burnet wins over Llano), this will pretty much secure our position for a play off spot. Of course we must win the games we should win, but it takes the pressure off us to win them all.

I'm going out on a limb here...Llano will ROUT burnet. burnet will not be able to stop Llano's speed in the backfield. liberty hill's three headed monster? More like Llano's four headed monster!! I've already predicted Llano has the district championship LOCKED UP! This will be a "notch in the ol belt." burnet qb hasn't seen the pressure Llano will bring. Llano absolutely shut fredericksburg down. If the Jackets don't sting you...the Mason Mafia will!!

--Dawg Dad out--

P.S. Come Saturday morning I expect some thank you's for the prediction.

I agree, what speed in the backfield. Llano has never been known for speed. Toughness, sure, never quit attitude, sure, speed, no. As for the pressure there are several ways to go about it, rush with no regards as to what is going on around you, or, rush within your assignments. Only time will tell which one of these Llano will choose to do.

I, for one, am unconvinced until Llano proves it. Beat Burnet...big step in that direction. Beat Burnet easily and big, and you got my vote.

About the Mason mafia, they are the hardest on the home team. It is bad when you have to play away to feel like you are getting a fair shake. The away is not every away.:)

Wimbo, you make it tough, I do not think anybody beats Burnet easily. You may beat them big but everything will have to go just right. And we all know that does not happen very often.

Good point...maybe so. I could tell (as we got closer and closer to beating them) that we caught a sleeping lion. I just couldn't believe how slowly the clock moved towards the end.

We also out-coached them, which pushed it over the top.

I know that if we are ahead going into the 4th that I will not think the clock is moving at all. I believe that defensivly we are better than last year, but the injuries to the defensive backfield are happening at the wrong time, although the ones that they bring in are doing a heck of a job.

I'm curious about how this one will turn out. Did Llano get their big OLman and Mlb back that were out for the Rockdale game?

lange4

The lineman is back and dominating but LB still out.

I heard burnet had lot's of kids out vs wimberly? Is this true? If so, do you guys think that would have affected the game differently? Are these same kids going to be out against Llano?

Yes, they say there were 8 or so out due to illness. If true, thats scary cuz they were bigger, faster, and stronger than we were even with those starters gone.

However...

Wimberley was still recovering from injuries to key players as well. The QB had broken his collar bone a few weeks back and was still tender, the RB was still favoring a thigh injury, etc. So, until proven otherwise...we are better than Burnet!!!!

LLANO! LLANO! LLANO! LLANO! The only dogs showing up against Llano will be some female pups!! burnet doesn't stand a chance. Not a chance!
