It's going to be amusing when Caldwell proves you "experts" wrong.

Rockdale blasts Cameron but barely escapes Madisonville, and Cameron easily beats Taylor... and you think Taylor will beat Madisonville?

I see a lot of folks picking Navasota by 10 or more? I am curious why?

Navasota beat Caldwell (in Caldwell) by 1 last year. Navasota lost some high dollar talent to graduation, but has reloaded quickly with what they had returning. Caldwell had quite a few returning and has played very well so far, losing only to state ranked Bellville. Navasota has had trouble stopping the Hornet run game in 3 of the last four meetings. Is Navasota so much more talented than Caldwell this year?

Could somebody tell me why this could/should be a blowout win by the Rattlers. Or, could somebody tell me why Caldwell could/should win this one.

Common sense and reasoned opinions would be appreciated.

I agree, but, this year's game has nothing to do what happen last year or 2-3 yrs ago. Some may be looking at the fact that Navasota beat Bellville, the same Bellville Brahma team that beat Caldwell in Caldwell, at Bellville by 10, in which, some think that it should have been alot more considering Navasota had 3 turnovers inside of Bellville's 30. Yes, Navasota has had problems stopping Caldwell's running attack. However, the Rattlers did manage to shut that down the second half last season. Adding that Navasota returned most of their defense and from a Rattlers' fan point of view, the defense is probably the best that Ive seen in a while. With that being said, I do believe that Navasota's defense will be key. The offense will score, but, I do believe that the defense is the Rattlers' backbone this season. It could be closer but I still like the Rattlers by 13 if not more.

Good Luck to both.

didn't caldwell and rockdale beat madisonville by 50+ points last year? are these two teams down in talent, madisonville better than last year or did they just slack off because of last year's score? i saw caldwell had an open week, but they should have been ready with two weeks of preparation to blow out madisonville. everyone is saying navasota has too much talent so i will go with navasota and rockdale should have more talent than rudder, so i will go with rockdale. if madisonville can play defense like the scoreboard showed in the first two games, then i will take madisonville. best of luck to all.

IMO, Madisonville is better than last year.
Caldwell by 7 and Rockdale by 2 , last year both teams blew out the Mustangs. They have a good RB, and the defense was pretty tough. Madisonville 3-3 in dist this year.
