amazing how the defense shut tech and osu down (basically) and then gives up 60 to utep.

Houston hasn't played any big time programs for a few years on any kind of a consistent basis. They almost have to get better if they continue to schedule better opponents. It should definitely help with recruiting if they can maintain their success.
