Edna might be the 2nd best team in that district, but wont make any noise in the playoffs. Tough draw.

Smithville perhaps could be higher, maybe switched out with #13 Ingleside after their blowout of Yoakum. We'll see how they handle another good team in Columbus Friday.

How is Bandera ranked over LaVernia and we beat them pretty good? Just wondering?

Was wondering that, both losses are quality losses too.

Wasn't the LV/Bandera score 16 to 7 or something like that? Sounds pretty close to me, just saying. it's funny how different people look at different things. When LV lost to Giddings - it was "they lost a CLOSE game 34 to 27" but when LV beat Bandera they "beat them pretty good 16 to 7."

Not agreeing with his "beat em pretty good comment but does losing two games to the #1 and #2 teams in the region knock you back behind a team you beat?

But when bandera lost to LV They didnt have their preseason all state Qb for the second half.In the first Quarter he had like a 70 yard td run and when he got hurt we had to put in a sophomore Qb who has never played a down above the freshmen level. So I'm saying that it would have been a close game if hubble would have played the whole game.

Sinton is going to be another test for Mathis defense, its going to be tough!! Another thing is LaGrange really undefeated?

I'm not agreeing with the "beat them pretty good" comment, either, but if Bandera can't win with Hubble out, wouldn't that make LV a better "team" than Bandera? Is Hubble the only one that can make plays, or was it the fact that LV's defense just shut everyone else down? Bandera played last week without Hubble and won very handily; something they couldn't do against LV. Granted, LV was the first game of the season and the soph QB hadn't had any varsity experience yet, but Bandera can win without Hubble, just not that night. Nothing against Bandera, I think they're a very good team, but I agree that LV should be above them considering the outcome of their game. Then again, polls don't really tell you anything about a team, it's what happens on the field that matters. Just throwing my 2 cents in.
