Just one great game out of 3 in district 25. Smithville is coming into distrcit red hot. after a dissapointing opening week loss smithville comes in winners of 4 stright and building momentum every day. They take on a unkown but scary 4-1 cardnals team. they have some good W's and a loss to needville is nothing to hang your heads on. Need more info on columbus to call this one. This is most deff a MUST win for any of the teams to have a shot at post season play and they know it, so expect the unexpected. I just hope smithville doesnt have a let down after that marquee win of there season so far. Get your popcorn Ready District 25 fans of there respected teams bc where all in for a 5 week show.

I see smithville taking this one by 14 mostly because of the speed of smithville. Lookout D25 the tigers from smithville are on the prawl.

I think this will be a very interesting match up. Both teams have speed and talented skill players. It will come down to the basics. The team that has the fewest penalties and turnovers will win. I'll take the Tigers after their impressive blow out of Yoakum by a td or two.

hey just wondering how yall feel coaches and AD's should manage there bye??? for years smithville use to take there bye the week before district starts and have come in rusty, for the past couple they have taken it 2weeks before district and that last non-distrcit the week before district. i personaly like that, reduces the chances of coming in rusty. but then if your banged up it could help.

It depends on how the coaches utilize the bye week. If they allow the players to heal but keep them focused on the next game it works. They have to strike a balance between too much off time and too much physical contact. Helmets and shorts the bye week and plenty of game films then the week of the game back to the usual.

I wish Smithville would blast everyone in the district just to deflate about 73 egos on this site.

You know I was looking at the box score for the yoakum game and Smithville can pass the rock. Their quarterback threw for 350 yards and 5 tds, I had no idea smithville had that in their arsenal. If they can score like that in district they'll be in every ball game. When La Grange goes to Smithville we could see some major points being put up.

Last year this game came down all the way to the end. smithville was down by 4 or 5, at the 5 yard line after a good drive with 5 sec left and just couldnt put it in. Im sure the coaches reminded them all week, smithville will be ready to play, and gota feeling big red will to. this game is goning to be intense.

Wasn't he the qb at Giddings a couple of years ago, this is about Columbus vs. Smithville. I have not seen either one this year but I think the injury to the rb from Columbus will hurt them this week. Smithville by at least 10 points!

Columbus may have an injury to their rb but i know the coaches will have their team ready to go come gametime. plenty of speed on that team that they will be able to find someone to fill that position. Columbus takes this game cuz theyre playin in C-TOWN
