Not really. I think the old USFL had a chance IF they stuck to their strongest markets and didn't try to switch to play football during the NFL's season.

Any league that tries to "compete" with the NFL -- for players, for attendance, for TV viewers -- is doomed.

LOL, I still have a Las Vegas Outlaws tshirt and a red and black XFL football. Funny thing about the football, it has never gone flat in the 8 years since I bought it. All the other footballs I have bought at Walmart and Academy go flat.

I'm actually surprised at the number of players that I'm familiar with in the league:

JP Losman
Tim Rattay
Brooks Bollinger
Tatum Bell
Adrian Awasom (former UNT player is primary reason I know him)
Teddy Lehman
Simeon Rice
Koren Robinson
Cecil Sapp
Labrandon Toefield
Doug Gabriel
Dexter Jackson
Rob Petitti
Todd Saurbrun
Odell Thurman
Jermaine Wiggins
Obafemi Ayanbadejo
BJ Sams

Granted, none of those players are incredible names although Tatum Bell, Simeon Rice, Koren Robinson and JP Losman are all very nice players. If I'm around when one of the games is on TV, I think I'll probably check it out.

Larry Fitzgerald's brother Marcus plays for the California team.. He probably used his family's connection with Dennis Green to get that gig
