Had one heck of a fun play saturday with the third grade team
Score was 29 to 0 and bobcats and they lined up for an extra point. Even tho down the Melissa Cardinals were still hitting and popped the back in the hole hard. The ball came out and bounce straight to a Cardinal player that promptly picked up the ball and began a sprint down field. He had made it to the 35 when the bobcats two fastest players caught up with him. The fastest wrapped him hard from behind and the ball popped loose again going toward the 50 with a hard bounce. The other bobcat picked it up at about the 46 and turned and headed back. After some bobbin and weavin and another hard run he scored the extra point. A 3 second play took about 30 and it was fun to watch. I think it was captured on tape as well. The coaches and fans on both sides were laughing and clapping as it was two hard working teams really trying to play.
