For the first five game, the senior first year starter has some pretty good stats:

Completed 67 % of passes for 635 yards with 9 passing touchdowns and only one interception.

Rushed for 668 yards and a 7.6 yards per carry average with 8 touchdowns.

Also has one kickoff return for a touchdown.

He also is the teams punter and punt returner.

As good as he is this year at QB, he is one of the best safeties in 3A when he plays defense.

Just imagine if he had Jackson/Lamascus (sp.) to throw to like Stokes did.

A little clarification about Kye. He played QB in 7th, 8th and 9th grades and the team went undefeated all 3 years. He played starting safety and back up QB 10th and 11th grades, so returning to QB his senior year is pretty natural for him.

He's definitely the "real deal". Navasota will go as far as he can take them.

Not only is he a great athlete, he's a great all around young man as well. He's the athlete that has done what the coaches have asked time and time again. He played whatever position was needed for the team.
