I see my Barbers Hill Eagles are creeping up the poll, they went from 10 to 8. They sure are playing good ball right now. I read on another post that out of the 15 games that they have played only one was at home, due to the bad weather and all. I cant wait for the playoffs I know Bridge City is anticipating the rematch with BH. If BH can Get past BC they will probally get another wack at Lorena. Lorena has removed BH from the playoffs the last two years they have a great program over there.

Hi RBarker, Glad to see you guys ranked, I see that you lost to Lufkin Hudson 20-3A and to Weimer 28-2A. Do you think that Lufkin team can beat Jasper?...I see you have only played 3A and 2A teams this year(according to what I can find), didn't you play some good 4A's last year?...At what level of the brackets do BC and BH meet this year?

old Card, your right we have only played one 4-a this year and it was Waller 18-4A BH won 11-0. I did not see the Lufkin Hudson game that BH lost 8-7 but I feal that any team on the right day in the top 20 could defeat any other team in the top 20. Jasper seems to have a great program they will be hard to beat. Its hard to tell when BH and BC would meet in the playoffs at this point but if it happens it should be a great game.

To RBarker: I looked at the new brackets for Region III. It looks like you guys and BC would not meet till the final in Region III, if that happened.....Your side looks a little tougher to me-- Jasper, Lorena etc: I can't see any one taking BC on the other side. Sealy looks like the toughest team they will face....It should be interesting!

Where's Port Isabel??? The Tarpons are 12-2, which is a better record than a lot of the top 25, geez, talk about lack of respect.

hey what about forney...they lost a little, but not a lot...they'll miss segovia of course....they've made 4 straight state tournaments....they should be ranked higher...

BH will play the upper bracket of region 3 which includes #1 Lorena #2 Lagrange & #4 Jasper. BC could face #21 Stafford & #9 Crocket. Maybe BH should throw district :D :D :D

I agree Tarpon. They should be ranked in the top ten. They have a better record than Sinton. I would just as soon have you and Yoakum ranked ahead of us. In fact I wouldn't have objected if they put us outside the top thirty. And I agree Jason. Forney should be in the top ten. Any team that has gone to state 4 straight years should be in top ten until they are out of the playoffs.

RBarker, I think Barbers Hill can hold their own. Jasper, Like Bridge City has concentrated on playing 4A or better quality teams. The only one I think is grossly overrated is LaGrange who has not played a very tough schedule. Bridge City swapped win/loses with the best teams that Coach Moore could schedule from high enrollments ranked Louisiana schools, and some of the best 4A's within driving distance. They are undefeated in District again. Lorena will also be tough. We will see you at the top game of Region III.

I hope North Lamar gets some respect here soon. We've run-ruled almost every district game and our overall record is 9-2.

Port Isabel suffered it's first district loss in 2 years, losing to Hidalgo 5-3 a couple of weeks ago. However, what was weighing more heavily on the minds of the Tarpons was the loss of one of their freshman teammates to cancer. The funeral was the same day as the game vs. Hidalgo, and according to my sources, their hearts weren't into the game.

Since then, the Tarpons have run ruled Lyford (12-0), Progreso (15-0), and Rio Hondo (11-0) in consecutive games, and now have a record of 15-2.

They have dedicated this season to their fallen teammate, and will be very tough to stop now that they have re-focused themselves.

After Kaufman's loss to Forney they drop out of the top ten. Van moves into their spot and everyone else moved up a slot.

Side note for Coastal Bend fans:

After Odem's (2A) loss to Riveria they drop out of the top 10 & Calallen still remains on top in 4A.

Another thing...I was looking at Lorena's schedule and it appears that they've only played 3A, 2A & 1A schools...am I missing any 4A or 5A teams they may have played???? Just curious. :p
